Why?

Do you have some minutes? Yes? Then enjoy the best OS from the Redmond company! Some time ago I decided to upgrade my development PC and so I bought a XPS M1710 DELL laptop (which was difficult, see my blog entry in German). Since I was forced to buy Vista I decided to use Vista Ultimate in English. I also bought Microsoft Office and some other software. This was an expensive way but so I thought that I'll get good stuff.

Have some FUN

Just do some simple tasks with FISTA:

Network (LAN)

First of all I had to set up a network because I'd liked to re-use my "old" XP Professional desktop machine as file server, print server, Apache/SVN server. Yes, I have a legal copy for XP Professional! Previously I configured a home network between two XP PCs and so I thought: No problem...

File Explorer

Stable, compatible, ... perfect!

Maybe you remember the texts when XP is beeing installed. Flexible. Better. M$ promises the best OS. So Vista is even better:
