PPC2002, WM2003 and WM2005
With Switch the user can switch between all running applications by using a context menu which is available from the taskbar. Also closing applications is possible with this context menu. The Switch icon (which opens the context menu by clicking it) is always visible in the taskbar. Info: If you need to kill a stalled application you can use UAEDT (UAE Debugging Tool) since version 3.3 to do this. UAEDT is also available at www.hfrmobile.com.

Settings
Using the Switch menu "Settings..." you can configure Switch's behavior.
X-Pos/Y-Pos position of Switch may differ in some Situations (used Language, Pocket PC version etc.) Using this setting you can adjust the position of the switch icon. Since Version 1.24 this setting supports also Landscape mode.
Auto-Popup is useful when you use a hardware-key to launch Switch. If this option is enabled the switch menu is displayed automatically. If you don't use a hardware key to launch the Switch menu you should disable this option.
Disable when not logged in If this option is enabled the Switch menu does not appear at the Windows CE Login-Screen.
Ask before close ActiveSync Using this option you can prevent unintentional closing ActiveSync. If you close ActiveSync using Switch also the ActiveSync connection is closed. Enabling this option causes that you are asked before you can close ActiveSync.
Ignore List of application/window names which should not be displayed. Each name must use quotation marks. Names must be separated by a comma (e.g. "Name1", "Name2").

 

Palm-size PC
With Switch the user can toggle between running applications by clicking the Switch icon on the taskbar. This is very useful if you have two applications running and if you use copy & paste to copy data from one application and paste it to the other application. Switch is also useful if you debug your application with UAEDT (UAE Debugging Tool which is also available on my web site). In this case you should first start Switch and then UAEDT and finally the application to debug.
